Investigation on Rheological Properties and Microscopic Mechanisms of Sasobit/Buton Rock Asphalt Modified Asphalt

The objective of this study is to develop a modified asphalt with excellent rheology and workability. Buton rock (BRA) composite warm mix (BCMWMA) was prepared, its rheological properties micromechanisms were investigated. Initially, (WMA) prepared using 3 wt% Sasobit, then four BCMWMA samples by blending 5 20 BRA (with intervals). Subsequently, the microscopic morphology modification mechanism analysed scanning electron microscopy (SEM) Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) tests. Finally, examined through conventional tests, rotational viscosity tests (RV), dynamic shear (DSR) bending beam rheometer (BBR). results indicate that Sasobit modifications primarily involve physical modification. improves high-temperature performance but reduces low-temperature performance. Overall, exhibits workability, contributing green sustainable development pavement engineering.
